MOREHEAD, Ky.— After a battle tested non-conference schedule, Morehead State Soccer adjusts its focus to Ohio Valley conference play, beginning Thursday at 8 p.m. on the road at Jacksonville State, and Sunday at Jayne Stadium against Belmont at 1p.m.
"This is the season that really matters a lot to us as a program," said Head Coach
Warren Lipka. "Now the real games begin. This is our way to a conference championship. This is our way to a possible NCAA bid."
MSU is coming off a non-conference slate where they played teams from the Big East, Horizon League, and MAC at Jayne Stadium, and a road schedule spanning from the Rocky Mountains to the coast of South Carolina. The Eagles have been tested and according to Lipka, his team is showing positive signs, but still has issues to correct.
"I've seen some good soccer in non-conference play," said Lipka. "I've seen some great goalkeeping by
Kaitlynn Murphy and I've seen some great attacking by
Dani Wilson. We just need to shore up our inconsistencies to be competitive in conference play."
The JSU and BU matches will both be broadcasted live on the
