MOREHEAD, Ky. - Morehead State's student-athletes recorded a 3.055 cumulative grade point average during the spring semester, while nine athletic programs posted better than a 3.00 GPA and 40 individuals registered a 4.00 GPA. The figures encompass more than 250 athletes who competed in NCAA-sponsored sports this past semester.
"We are proud of these teams and individuals for their academic accomplishments in the classroom," said Assistant Director of Academic Advising and Retention Sara Larson. "We certainly want our teams to be competitive in their respective sports, but we also want our student-athletes to do well academically and earn their college degrees. Their academic record is a reflection of their dedication and hard work."
Posting the highest team GPA was rifle with a 3.487.
