MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Former Morehead State strength and conditioning assistant
Jordan Gembarski has returned to campus and has begun his tenure as head strength and conditioning coach.
From 2019-21, he worked with the Eagle football, baseball, softball, cross country and track, soccer and cheerleading programs as assistant strength and conditioning coach.
Gembarski returned to MSU following two years as strength and conditioning coach for the U.S. Army Holistic Health and Fitness Program at Fort Campbell, Ky. He was instrumental in the design and implementation of programs to facilitate the Battalions' operational readiness, career longevity and quality of life.
Gembarski also served as associate sports performance coach at Little Rock from 2021-23. He was at LR during the transition from the Sun Belt to the Ohio Valley Conference. Gembarski worked directly with the soccer, track and field, baseball and swimming and diving teams and managed two of the Trojan's strength facilities.
He started his coaching career as his alma mater, Albion (Mich.), where his internship saw him work with the football, men's basketball, women's basketball, women's soccer and women's lacrosse teams in 2019. He also served as an intern for the BARWIS Methods in Michigan in 2019.
Gembarski is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
He earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology/exercise science from Albion in 2019 and is working toward a Master's degree at the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.).
