RESULTS
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State men's golf ended their fall slate on a high note as they concluded play Tuesday at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate.
The Eagles carded rounds of 305-298-288—891, good for a fourth place finish. The team had a very consistent outing, finishing only behind host Stetson in total pars with 171 and finished third in par 4 scoring, averaging 4.17.
Sophomore
Nolan Piazza led the team after claiming his third top-10 finish of the season, firing rounds of 72-73-71—216. Piazza once again paced the Eagles in a majority of their statistics, finishing team best in par 3 scoring, par 4 scoring and total pars for the tournament.
Freshman
Logan Liles ended his fall season strong, picking up his second career top-25 finish, with rounds of 75-76-73—224. The Kentucky native finished second on the team in par 4 scoring average (4.13) and par 5 scoring average (4.92).
Blake Evans finished tied for 27th on the strength of his final round, where his 71 tied with
Nolan Piazza for the lowest round shot by any Eagle in the event.
Cameron Travis also finished tied for 27th, carding rounds of 76-76-74—226, and was second on the team in total birdies with eight, with four of those coming in his second round.
Jon Kosier, making his season debut, shot his best round to end the tournament going two under par on the back nine to finish with rounds of 84-80-73—237.
Competing as an individual, freshman
Gavin McKune fashioned rounds of 72-74-81—227, and shined on par 5s, where he led the team in scoring average with a 4.83, with four of his team leading nine birdies coming on the long distance holes.

The Eagles will now be off for the winter before returning to action Feb. 10-11 in Mims, Fla.
