Irene Wogenstahl has earned Ohio Valley Conference co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Wogenstahl's accolade is the third weekly award won by an Eagle student-athlete in 2022 and gives the program now 152 all-time awards, including 31 Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The Crestview Hills, Ky., product totaled 11 blocks in the Eagles' 3-1 over Lindenwood Saturday, including nine block assists and two solos. She added two more blocks in the previous matchup with the Lions on Friday night to average 1.63 blocks per set on the weekend. MSU won both matches as well to start OVC action 2-0.
She now has 124 career total blocks in 51 matches played.
The Eagles are back on the road this week, playing at SIUE Friday and Saturday.
