MOREHEAD, Ky. – Teeing off for the first time this spring, men's golf heads to the Sunshine State for the second annual Carpenter-Chaney Classic.
Named after legendary head golf coaches Jerry Carpenter (UT Martin from 2002-20) and Dr. Rex Chaney (Morehead State from 1976-2014). The duo combined for five OVC championships and six OVC Coach of the Year awards while overseeing six OVC Championship medalists and four OVC Golfers of the Year.

The tournament field consists of nearly every OVC team, with the match play event preparing teams for the final round of the conference championship in April, where the Eagles are projected to finish fifth.
The two-day, 54-hole event tees off from Indian River Preserve Golf Club in Mims, Fla. Friday.
