MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Beach Volleyball is set to open up Ohio Valley Conference action this weekend when the Eagles venture to Chattanooga, Tenn.
MSU will face UT Martin (Friday 8 a.m. ET), host Chattanooga (Friday 4 p.m.), Eastern Illinois (Saturday 8 a.m.) and Lindenwood (Saturday Noon). Tennessee Tech will also be there but as the Eagles' travel partner in the league, MSU will not play them and instead have a doubleheader at TTU on April 2.
Morehead State enters league play at 4-4 overall. Last spring the Eagles went 3-5 against the OVC before going 3-2 in the tournament and advancing to the title match at home against UTM.
Abby Hulsman leads the Eagles in wins this year with six. Right behind, with five, is
Andrea Grimes,
Brenna Bommer and
Trinity Miller. This week's OVC Pair of the Week, Miller and
Sydney Wyman are 5-1 at No. 1.Â
UTM is 8-6 this season and 1-0 already in league matchups. The Mocs are 4-5 and 0-1 in the league, having fallen to UTM. EIU has only played one match back on March 6, falling to Missouri Baptist. In its first Division IÂ season, Lindenwood is 4-4.
