LIVE RESULTS (ERSKINE | CARSON-NEWMAN)
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- After a short hiatus, Morehead State's Beach Volleyball program is back in action Saturday as the Eagles travel to Jefferson City, Tenn., just outside of Knoxville, for a pair of matches. MSU takes on Erskine (S.C.) at 1 p.m. ET before battling host Carson-Newman at 3 p.m.
The Eagles enter their next week of play at 3-1 after taking three of four at Grand Sands in Ohio two weeks ago.
The duo of
Trinity Miller and
Sydney Wyman were a perfect 2-0 at the top of the lineup at Grand Sands, while
Abby Hulsman and
Peyton Kennedy will look to remain undefeated at No. 3 where they are 3-0. Kennedy is actually 4-0 on the season.
Brenna Bommer,
Andrea Grimes and
Peighton Isley each have three wins.
Erskine started the season 1-1 before a pair of matches Thursday. The Eagles have never faced the Fleet in their six years as a program. Carson-Newman, on the other hand, has bolted to a 15-0 start in 2023. But, MSU has never lost to the C-N Eagles. In 2018, MSU defeated C-N 3-2 and then won 5-0 twice over them in 2019.Â
After Saturday, MSU will have its home opener on March 20 when they host Tusculum (Tenn.) for two matches.
