MOREHEAD, Ky. – Men's golf wrapped up their season Tuesday afternoon at the OVC Championship, finishing seventh in the field.
Backed by two top-20 performances, the Eagles carded rounds of 305-285-301—891, and led the entire tournament in pars with 164.
Improving on last year's results, junior
Cameron Travis finished tied for 18th alongside
Blake Evans, who notched his first top-20 finish of the season. The second round 70 from Travis was tied for the lowest round by an Eagle in the tournament, and he led the team in birdies with 12 and in par 5 scoring, while Evans was second in the field in pars with 38.
Brody Webb claimed his first top-25 finish of the year after firing rounds of 78-70-77—225. Webb matched Travis for the lowest round shot by an Eagle with his second round 70, which included the best front nine performance on the team in the tournament.
Competing in their first conference tournament,
Allan Lockwood and
Logan Liles claimed top-30 finishes, wrapping up tied for 26th and 28th, respectively.
The Eagles will now set their sights on next season, which begins in the fall.
