CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's Beach Volleyball program is set to compete at the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament this week. Held in Martin, Tenn., at UT Martin, the double elimination format runs Thursday through Saturday.
The Eagles earned the field's third seed with a 6-4 league mark and an 11-11 overall scorecard. They'll face sixth-seed Eastern Illinois first at 4 p.m. ET Thursday. The winner will take on second-seed Chattanooga at 8 p.m. The loser will drop into the consolation at 11 a.m. Friday.
All matches will air live on ESPN+.
Morehead State has defeated EIU twice this season and is 5-0 all-time against the Panthers, who started their program prior to the 2022 season. The Eagles split with Chattanooga, most recently claiming a 3-2 win just last Saturday at home.
MSU's most success has come at the No. 1 and No. 5 spots. At No. 1, Trinity Miler and
Sydney Wyman head into the event with an 11-8 overall record. At No. 5,
Brenna Bommer and
Andrea Grimes were 8-3. Grimes' 13 wins overall is the highest on the team.
In OVC play, however, it was the No. 3 pair of
Abby Hulsman and
Anya Reinhard who saw the most success, going 6-4.Â
