MOREHEAD, Ky. -- An All-American in her one junior college season, Alyssa Berry, has signed to continue her athletic and academic career at Morehead State.
A native of Pearland, Texas, Berry comes to the Eagle program following one season at Hill College in Texas.
"Alyssa can flat out score the basketball," said Head Coach
Cayla Petree. "Having a point guard who is as aggressive off ball screens as she is will make everyone around her better. I love that she loves the game so much. She is obsessed with winning and getting better. I expect big things out of her this season."
Berry was named an All-American by the NJCAA and WBCA.
She averaged 17.4 points and shot 40 percent from the field. Berry also averaged 3.9 assists per game and grabbed 5.2 rebounds per outing. Berry scored in double figures in 28 games, which was all but three of the total games she appeared in. In addition, she had 10 games of 7+ assists.Â
Berry attended Clear Brook High School where she was a multiple-time all-region selection.
