Tavia Burgess Garners OVC Women's Golfer of the Week

MOREHEAD, Ky. --  Morehead State freshman Tavia Burgess has been named the OVC Female Golfer of the Week. 

Burgess has had two top ten finishes, and one top five finish in the ongoing 2024-25 season. Burgess' current average is 72.1, which is among the best three in the OVC, and she finished fifth place with back-to-back par 70's at the Butler Fall Invitational this past week. 

Four of her eight rounds in her first college season have been par or better.

After earning numerous honors the past several years, Burgess is the first Eagle to win an OVC weekly accolade this season.
