MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Beach Volleyball is set to host Eastern Kentucky in a pair of matches at Giovanni's Breadstick Beach Wednesday. First serves are at 2 p.m. ET.
The Eagles and Colonels have matched up once already this season, a 4-1 win for EKU in the season opener back on Feb. 23 in Loveland, Ohio. EKU sits at 11-8 overall, while MSU is 6-6.
M.E. Hargan has been the Eagles'Â most consistent success this season, with a 9-3 record.
Shea Hefner, who partnered with Hargan for seven of the triumphs, is 8-4. The pair played at No. 3 for a majority of the year before a slight switch at Tennessee Tech this past weekend. Hargan paired with
Peighton Isley at No. 3 while Hefner moved up to No. 2 and paired with
Sydney Wyman.
MSU has historically had success against the Colonels, owning a 10-3 all-time advantage in the series.
After the midweek clashes, MSU will head to Columbia, S.C. this weekend to face South Carolina, Mercer and UNC Wilmington in the Palmetto Invitational.
