Six Eagles Earn Academic All-PFL Honors

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Six members of the Morehead State football program have earned Academic All-Pioneer League, including four on the first-team. The six represents the second highest single-season total of awards in program history, and MSU led the PFL in first-team accolades.

MSU's six selctions trail only the 2021 team, which had 10.

First-team honorees include quarterback Carter Cravens, running back Isaac Stopke, linebacker Luke Bauer and defensive back Dylan Cook. Defensive back Mateo Reyes and kicker Thomas Schwartz V were on the second-team.

Cravens, a redshirt senior from Cypress, Texas, sports a 3.50 grade point average in the Master's of business administration program. He finished with 1,880 passing yards and 11 touchdowns. He also rushed for three touchdowns.

Stopke, a redshirt sophomore from Lake Havasu City, Ariz., led the team in rushing with 788 yards and scored seven times on the ground. He had four 100-yard efforts. Stopke has a 3.70 GPA in university studies.

Bauer, one of only two repeat first-team selections for the entire league, has a 3.95 GPA in accounting. The redshirt senior from Akron, Ohio, had 45 total stops this season with five tackles for loss and five quarterback hurries.

Cook, a graduate student from Tucson, Ariz., also owns a 3.95 GPA and studies criminology. He ranked third on the team with 71 total tackles and had three pass break ups.

Reyes, from Fresno, Calif., owns a 3.55 GPA in university studies.The senior topped the team and ranked among PFL leaders with 87 total tackles and had 4.5 behind the lines of scrimmage.

Schwartz, from Treynor, Iowa, has a 3.72 GPA in construction management. He made seven field goals, including a game-winner against Marist in the final seconds, and averaged 63.3 yards per kickoff with 26 touchbacks.
