RESULTS (TUSC | EKU)

MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State Beach Volleyball split a pair of matches at Eastern Kentucky Tuesday as the Eagles pulled out a 3-2 win over Tusculum (Tenn.) before succumbing 5-0 to the host Colonels.

MSU moved to 12-8 overall in 2025, sweeping its two matches with Tusculum this spring and splitting the two with its former OVC rival EKU.

Opening against Tusculum, the Pioneers and Eagles locked into a stalemate at 2-2 before the No. 3 pair of M.E. Hargan and Peighton Isley prevailed in straight sets (21-13, 21-14) to seal the victory.

Sarah Heath and Sydney Wyman got MSU off to a nice start with a 21-15, 21-16 win on court two. After the Pioneers triumphed 2-1 at No. 4, over at No. 5, Brenna Bommer and Courtney Fitzgerald lifted their team on top 2-1 as they won 21-15, 21-19. TU finished off a straight-set win at No. 1 to set up the No. 3 pair's stage for the win.

EKU claimed four of the five matches in straight sets in the nightcap. At No. 1, Irene Wogenstahl and Bella Marita jumped ahead 1-0 with a 21-14 win but ended up falling in the subsequent sets.

MSU will conclude the regular season at home next weekend (Apri 18-19) hosting the second OVC weekend at Giovanni's Breadstick Beach.
