MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's Men's Basketball squad returns home this week as the Eagles host a pair of Volunteer State foes. First up is Tennessee Tech for a 7:30 p.m. ET battle on Thursday at Johnson Arena.

Morehead State leads its series with Tennessee Tech, 96-70 - easily the longest running current series with an OVC opponent. But, this will mark TTU's final game at Johnson Arena as an OVC member as TTU will transition its athletic programs to the Southern Conference starting in 2026-27. MSU owns a 58-18 all-time mark against Tech in games played in Morehead. TTU only has 11 all-time wins at Johnson Arena.

Tech, led by Paintsville, Ky., and University of Kentucly basketball legend John Pelphrey, sits at 10-15 overall and 5-9 in the league. The Golden Eagles are in ninth place.

George Marshall, Jr., led four players in double figures with 16 points, and
Anouar Mellouk posted a double-double (12 pts, 10 rbs) in the first meeting with TTU, a 76-70 Eagle win in Cookeville on Jan. 17. MSU led by as much as 16 in the second half before Tech cut it back to as low as three in the final 1:10.
• MSU ranks No. 1 in the OVC in games decided by five points or less. The Eagles have been in 10 of those games this season, going 7-3. MSU has also been in three additional contests decided by 6-8 points. Tech is 3-4 in games with a five-or-less point margin.
• MSU has won 41 straight games when its opponent scores 60 or less, since falling to No. 23-ranked Murray State on Feb. 12, 2022.
• Morehead State put an end to UT Martin's 11-game home winning streak with the 61-55 victory on Jan. 7. In fact, MSU is the only team to win at the Elam Center in the Skyhawks' last 14 home games.

George Marshall, Jr., scored nine points at SEMO on Feb. 5 and reached 1,000 career collegiate points. He now has 1,108 career points. It marks the fifth straight season an Eagle reached 1,000 career college points during the season.

George Marshall, Jr., hit a career-high 10 free throws at UT Martin and now ranks second in the conference in free throws made with 89. Marshall is an 82 percent career free throw shooter.

Jon Carroll ranks second in the conference in offensive rebounds per game (3.3). He has nine games where he's grabbed 4+ offensive boards.

• MSU had shot 40 percent or better in 15 straight games - until hitting just 37 percent at UT Martin Feb. 7.
