Sarah Heath has been chosen as a Player to Watch in the Ohio Valley Conference for the 2026 season, and the Eagles are tabbed third in the preseason poll.
In addition, junior
Bella Marita is the Eagles' returning All-OVC player, earning first-team in 2025.
Heath played primarily at nos. 2-3 last season and posted a 12-12 overall record. She was 7-5 at No. 3, including 5-3 with dual partner
Peighton Isley. Marita played alongside former Eagle
Irene Wogenstahl to post a 7-3 record in OVC matches last season.
The Eagles finished tied for second in the league in 2025, with UT Martin, at 7-3. MSU has posted an above .500 record overall in six of the past seven seasons.
Sarah Martin opens her third year as head coach of the program on Friday and Saturday when the Eagles take on Liberty, Eastern Kentucky, Tusculum and Austin Peay at Grand Sands in Loveland, Ohio.
