2026 OFFICIAL ALL-PFL PRESEASON TEAM
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State football redshirt junior
KJ Hardesty is among the Pioneer League's best defenders, so it was fitting that the 6-2 defensive lineman earned preseason All-PFL honors.
Hardesty is the lone Eagle selection to the official team as he rose to the top of the list of feared linemen in the league last season. The Kentucky Wesleyan transfer from Bowling Green carved up opposing offenses with 46 total tackles, including 7.5 behind the line of scrimmage. He also sacked opposing quarterbacks twice for 30 yards and recovered a fumble.Â
In back-to-back games versus Davidson and Butler (both Eagle wins) late in the season, he totaled 11 tackles. He also led the team with six quarterback hurries, including pressuring Kentucky Christian's signal caller four times.
Hardesty and the Eagles open their 2026 season at home against Ohio Dominican on Aug. 27.
