MOREHEAD, Ky, -- The Morehead State men's golf team is set to tee off in Huntington, W.Va., on Sept. 14-15, competing in the Joe Feaganes Invitational, hosted by Marshall.
The Eagles have played in the Joe Feaganes Invitational many times, competing in that same tournament four times out of the last five seasons.
"Marshall is always a great event for the schedule," said Head Coach
Matthew Martin. "The course will provide many scoring opportunities. Our guys have prepared well; now it's time to go execute."
The two-day event over the par-71, 6,523-yard Guyan Golf and Country Club Course will be a 36-hole stroke-play event.
MSU last played in the Joe Feaganes Invitational to start the fall season in 2024, finishing 3rd of 13 teams.
The Eagles are coming off a third place finish in the Chaney-Denham-Landrum Shootout, a three team tournament honoring golf legends from each program.
Every MSU golfer had the opportunity to compete, aiding multiple top placed finishes.
Seamus Bogan,
Gavin Augenstein and
Clay Noble each carded a 140 (-2), tying for second overall.
Remy Stalcup finished at even par, tying for sixth, while
Evan Taylor and
Sebastian Pell also cracked the top 10. In total, the Eagles placed six golfers in the tournament's top 10.
