MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State Soccer starts Ohio Valley Conference play tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET in St. Charles, Mo., taking on Lindenwood at Hunter Stadium. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
MSU sits at 5-6 following the conclusion of non-conference play, posting the best record against non-OVC opponents since the 2014 season.

Morehead State kicked off the season at Marshall, falling 3-1 after conceding a pair of early goals.
The Eagles responded well against Brescia (Ky.), recording 41 shots, tying the school record for shots in a game, and coming out on top, 2-0.
Morehead State fell to Miami (Ohio) and Eastern Kentucky, but took down Cleveland State in between.
During MSU's four-game home stretch, the longest home stand in nine seasons, the Eagles took down Northern Kentucky and Mercyhurst, while falling to Chattanooga and Indiana State.
Following the two-game slide, MSU traveled to Alabama A&M, taking down the Bulldogs 1-0 thanks to a score from
Ashton Lynam in the second half, putting the Eagles back into the win column.
In its recent contest, Morehead State fell to Bellarmine 2-1 in Lousiville, Ky., in the final non-conference match of the season.
Once again, Lynam scored off an assist from
Gaia Fubelli right out of the gate in the second half to put the Eagles up 1-0. Unfortuantely, Bellarmine responded two and half minutes later to even the contest at 1-1, thanks to a goal scored by Katie Paulakonis.
Paulakonis found the back of the net once more in the 64th minute, effectively downing the Eagles 2-1.
Led by head coach Dave Musso, Lindenwood posted a 4-4-2 non-conference record with wins against Bellarmine, Evansville, Murray State and St. Thomas.
The Lions are averaging 0.80 goals per game on 10.0 shots per game, while allowing 1.10 goals on 9.8 shots per game.
Morehead State is averaging 1.27 goals per game on 13.3 shots per game, while allowing 1.18 goals on 13.5 shots per game.
NOTABLE:
- Ashton Lynam scored in back to back games, becoming the first Eagle to do so since Hedda Ornberg scored in four straight games in Oct.-Nov. of 2024.
- Morehead State leads the Ohio Valley Conference in shots (146), shots on goal (62), goals (14), assists (14), and points (42).
- Natalie Lentine was named OVC Offensive Player of the Week following her first career goal (against Mercyhurst) and first career assist (against Chattanooga) on September 8th.
- Jade Walton has put 12 of her 18 shots on goal while scoring on three of those nine attempts, showcasing an impressive level of efficiency. She has scored on 25 percent of her shots on goal.
- The Eagles have scored in every game but one this year. The last time Morehead State scored in 10 of the first 11 games was in 2015, when the Eagles also scored in 10 of the first 11 games.
- Burke's notched her ninth career assist as an Eagle on Sept. 3, against Merchyhurst, putting her in sole possession of ninth place in program history.
- Charlotte Lee is tied for second in the OVC in assists (3).
- Walton is second in the OVC for shots on goal (12).
- The Eagles have scored 14 goals this season from 10 different goal scorers.
- Eight of the Eagles 10 who have score this season have scored their first collegiate goal.
- Lee's seven points in the first six games of the season was the first time a Morehead State Eagle has accomplished that feat since Ashley Ritchie in the first six games, 10 years ago in 2016.
- Allie Lammers' 18 combined saves against Eastern and Northern Kentucky are the most saves in a two-game span since Kayla Landman recorded 21 (14 and 7) against Purdue Fort Wayne and Murray State on 9/29/2019 and 10/4/2019.
- MSU scored in each of its first four games of the season, the first time it has accomplished the feat since 2015.
- Lee recorded four points through the first three games, becoming the first Eagle to do so since Hedda Ornberg did it from October 20-November 3 in 2024.
- The Eagles held Brescia (Ky.) without a shot in their 2-0 victory on Aug. 16, marking the first time MSU has held an opponent without a shot for an entire game since defeating North Alabama, 2-0, in the 2021 season/home opener.
