MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Led by a pair of top-30 individual scorecards among a gigantic field of 120 players, Morehead State Women's Golf finished 14th at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawley's Island, S.C.
This week's course at the Caledonia Golf and Fish Club played at a par 71 and 6,004 yards. Sophomores
Morgan Kennedy (19th) and
Margaret Ulrich (26th) both scored top-30 efforts.
Kennedy carded a 71-72-74 -- 217, with her 71 tying for her career best round. Other than 12th at last season's OVC Championship, she garnered her second best career finish. Her + 4 scorecard was also the best of her short career in terms of relative to par.
Ulrich fired a pair of 71 rounds, bookending them with a 76 to finish at 218 and 26th place. The 71s were a career low for her.

The Eagles finished with a team scorecard of 291-300-296 -- 887. UNC Wilmington made a surge on day two, climbing seven spots, and held on Tuesday to win the team title at + 2 (854). Campbell's Miah Rivas (-3) edged UNCW's Valencia Chang and Alexis Faieta by one stroke to win medalist honors.
MSU returns to action on Monday and Tuesday at the Brittany Kelly Classic, hosted by Ball State, in Yorktown, Ind.
