MOREHEAD, Ky. - The Morehead State women’s tennis team is set to compete at the Redbird Round-Up on Sept. 23-25 in Normal, Ill. Traveling for the Eagles this weekend will be seniors

Jessica Montemayor, as well as junior
Victoria Cran and freshman
Shilpa Naruka.
“I look forward to seeing how much we have improved since Saint Louis,” said coach
Kevin Fulton.
The tournament, hosted by Illinois State, will consist of both doubles and singles play, starting with one round of each on Friday at 2 p.m. On Saturday, play will be begin at 11 a.m. with two rounds of doubles play and one round of singles play. Play will again start at 11 a.m. on Sunday, finishing the tournament with the doubles finals and the singles main draw. Illinois State, along with MSU, Butler and Chicago State will compete this weekend.
The Redbird Round-Up is the second of three fall tournaments for the Eagles. MSU first participated in the Billiken Classic on Sept. 9-10 with freshman
Alexis Garrett making a splash in her collegiate debut. The freshman went undefeated in three singles matches, while also boasting a 2-1 record in doubles action.
Morehead State will finish up its fall slate at the Kentucky Fall Invitational on Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in Lexington
