Women's Tennis finishes off season with 7-0 loss to EIU

MOREHEAD, Ky.— Morehead State women's tennis fell to Eastern Illinois 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at Sadler Courts.
 
The Eagles (3-17, 3-7) ended the season losing back-to-back matches and will not compete in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. The Panthers (13-7, 7-3) wrapped up their season winning two of their last three games.
 
Senior Ayaka Terashi and freshman Zina Mehikic fell in singles competition in straight sets. Teaming up earlier in the day in doubles competition, the tandem had their match go unfinished.
 
Sophomore Aleksandra Savic pushed her match to three sets with Hannah Kimbrough, but came up short in the super set, 11-7.
 
Before the day began at Sadler Courts, Terashi was honored as the lone senior of the program. She finished with seven wins on the year as the No. 1 player for the Eagles.
