MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State women's tennis team only dropped four games as the Eagles cruised to a 6-0 victory over Pikeville (Ky.) Friday at the EAGLE Center.
Pikeville only traveled with four players, forfeiting spot five in singles. MSU had five in uniform.
The Eagles quickly took the first point, winning both doubles 8-0. Sophomores Briar Preston and Sandrine Beaule defeated Mounia Sami and Thais Bazerra on the first court. At No. 2 freshmen Hayley Wild and Andrea LeBlanc knocked off Kara Griswell and Michaela Hyden.
In singles, LeBlanc captured a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Sami on court one. At No. 2 sophomore Dominique McLean beat Bazerra 6-0, 6-3. On court three and four Beaule and Wild blanked their opponents Griswell and Hyden.
The Eagles will next host Lipscomb on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
