Women's Tennis Swept at Nationally-Ranked Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. --
No. 59 Indiana defeated the Morehead State women's tennis team 7-0 Saturday afternoon. The Hoosiers won four of the five singles matches in straight sets.

IU improved to 10-3, while MSU fell to 3-7.

Morehead State freshman Hayley Wild gave her opponent the greatest threat before falling in three sets to Paula Gutierrea.

Sofia Garre knocked off sophomore Briar Preston, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1. Freshman Andrea LeBlanc fell 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2, and sophomore Dominique-Chante Mclean absorbed a 6-1, 6-0 setback on court three.

Sophomore Sandrine Beaule also lost 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4.

The Hoosiers won the top doubles match, 8-1 and the second, 8-0.

MSU's next action is set for Friday at Northern Kentucky. Match time is slated for 1 p.m. ET.
