"I cannot put into words how proud I am of the effort that the girls' portrayed today," said Head Coach
Kevin Fulton. "Every match we play I know we're so close to putting it all together. Murray is a two-time defending champion and we put them on the brink of a loss today, but just couldn't quite get over the hump. We will bounce back and be ready to play Austin Peay tomorrow."

Zina Mehikic followed in the footsteps of the elder Terashi, as she claimed her third win and first career OVC victory, taking down Amina Hadzic in three sets 7-5, 6-7, 6-4.
"Zina (Mehikic) played well beyond her freshman year today and Ayaka (Terashi) showed why, in my eyes, she's one of the best players in the OVC."

Hayley Wild jumped out first claiming the first set 6-1 over Morgan, but would falter in both the second and third sets. Morgan claimed the final sets, with 7-5 victories in each.
