MSU's MacKenzie Neal Earns OVC Golfer of the Month for September

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- With a plethora of weekly Ohio Valley Conference golf awards already to her credit, Morehead State senior MacKenzie Neal has now earned the conference's Golfer of the Month accolade for September.

The Richmond, Ky., native led the team with a 72.6 average in two tournaments and had a top 10 (T7th) finish as MSU won the Briar Ridge Invitational. She also fired MSU's best round (68) of the year at the Golfweek Challenge, which is also the lowest round of any league golfer this Fall. 

She finished at even par for the Golfweek event and finished 15th among 104 players. Neal leads MSU at only 1 over par in five rounds so far.

Neal and the Eagles are back in action this Sunday through Tuesday at the Edisto Island (S.C.) Invitational.
