MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Beach Volleyball is set for its first Ohio Valley Conference weekend as the Eagles travel to Chattanooga.
MSU will face four of the other five conference schools. Friday's action sees the Eagles face the host Mocs at 10 a.m. ET and Lindenwood at 2 p.m. On Saturday, the weekend wraps with Eastern Illinois at 8 a.m. and UT Martin at 4 p.m. MSU will play a doubleheader against its league "travel partner" Tennessee Tech later on, and then there will be another OVC weekend at UTM in April prior to the OVC Tournament, which MSU will host.
Morehead State is 4-2 in 2024, but the Eagles have been idle since winning a doubleheader over McKendree (Ill.) at home on March 5.
The No. 3 pair of
Shea Hefner and
M.E. Hargan will look to stay perfect this year, having posted a 6-0 record. They have not lost a set so far.
Bella Marita and
Irene Wogenstahl have also been a bright spot with a 4-2 record. They are 2-2 at No. 1 and 2-0 at No. 2.
UTM leads the early OVC race at 1-0 and is 5-5 overall. Lindenwood boasts the best overall mark at 6-3, while EIU is 1-3. Chattanooga is 2-8.
