MOREHEAD, Ky. -- With crucial seeding for next weekend's Ohio Valley Conference Tournament up for grabs, Morehead State Beach Volleyball hosts the second round-robin OVC weekend Friday and Saturday at Giovanni's Breadstick Beach.
MSU will also hold its senior day presentation on Friday evening prior the match.
The Eagles battle UT Martin at 10 a.m. ET Friday before closing the action that night against Eastern Illinois at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Eagles face Lindenwood at Noon and Chattanooga at 6 p.m. With a 5-1 record so far, MSU is in second place. Depending on outcomes of matches this weekend, the final match versus UTC could wind up being for an OVC Championship. The Mocs, the defending tournament champions, are currently 6-0 in the league.
During the first OVC weekend, the Eagles defeated Lindenwood, UTM and EIU and fell to Chattanooga.
Senior
Peighton Isley leads the unit this year with 12 victories, while
M.E. Hargan and
Sarah Heath have 11. No. 1 pair
Irene Wogenstahl and
Bella Marita, however, own a 5-1 record in OVC matchups.
