Morehead, Ky. -- The Morehead State baseball team will wrap up the season when they host long-time Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee Tech Thursday-Saturday at Allen Field at Prefontaine Park.
First pitch Thursday and Friday is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. ET. The Friday start time is a change from the original schedule. Saturday's start is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET. All games are scheduled to be streamed on ESPN+.

- Morehead State will recognize Nick Gooden with a presentation ceremony for his ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award for last season before the game on Friday.
- Morehead State has been mathematically eliminated from the OVC tournament, the first season they have missed since the 2013 season, when the Eagles went 16-40 and 10-20 in the OVC. That year was head coach Mike McGuire's first as MSU's head coach; two seasons later, in 2015, his Eagles posted a 38-22 record (20-10 in the OVC) finishing second in the OVC standings and won the OVC tournament.
- Morehead State has turned 37 double plays this season, tied with Southeast Missouri for fourth-most in the OVC. Little Rock leads the conference with 39 double plays. Tennessee Tech and Lindenwood are tied for second in the OVC with 38 twin killings.
- Morehead State leads the OVC with a .449 Slugging percentage, led by Hunter Thomas' .629 mark (4th in the OVC) and Alex Kean's .554 (7th in the OVC). The Eagles also lead in home runs (67), led by Hunter Thomas' 18 clouts, which is the most in the OVC and ranks T-14 nationally.
- MSU tops the OVC in throwing out base stealers with 29. Hunter Thomas has thrown out 15 and Caden Sheridan has cut down 12 would-be base thieves.
- JJ Dutton rapped out two hits in Sunday's game at Western Illinois, extending his reached-base streak to 29 games, the longest current streak in the OVC (tied with Khi Holiday of Southern Indiana). His 18-game hit streak earlier in the season, was the second-longest in the conference this season.
- Dutton leads Morehead State hitting .337, which ranks seventh in the OVC. In the last 10 games, Dutton hit .326 (14-43). His four triples this season are tied for second-most in the OVC this season.
- Alex Kean is second on the team with 11 home runs, ranking T-7 in the OVC. He has hit safely in the last 12 games. In the last 10 outings, he hit .390 (16-41) with a home run, five doubles, a triple and five runs batted in.
- Andy Cisneros has struck out just nine times in 201 at bats this season. He ranks 5th in the nation in the toughest to strike out category. In the field, his 123 assists are eighth-most in the OVC.
- Griffin Olson has walked 34 times, which is tied for third-most in the conference. He leads MSU with 17 stolen bases in 20 attempts, which ranks sixth in the OVC. Olson's 10 home runs this season rank T-10 in the conference. In the last 10 games, Olson hit two home runs and two triples and drove in 13 runs.
- Caden Sheridan leads the Eagles with 14 doubles this season, which ranks T-4 in the OVC. In the last 10 games, he hit .310 (13-42) with two home runs, three doubles and six runs batted in and has reached base safely in all 10. This season he leads the club hitting .339 with runners in scoring position.
- Opponents are hitting .234 against Kamden Hawks this season; that ranks fifth in the OVC. He leads the MSU staff with 51 strikeouts; his 8.5 strikeouts per game also rank fifth the OVC. Â
- Freshman Landon Waugh has been a bright spot on the mound for Morehead State as of late. In his last eight outings, he has given up six earned runs in 16.1 innings, posting a 3.52 ERA. He has struck out 16, while giving up seven hits and eight walks. His last outing was Sunday at Western Illinois. He came out of the bullpen with runners on first and second and no outs. He induced a double-play from the first batter he faced, and got a strikeout to preserve the win and earn the first save of his collegiate career.
