MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State women's tennis team claimed 27 singles or doubles victories this weekend at the UT Martin Fall Invitational.
The event featured a dual-match format with UTM, Southeast Missouri and MSU participating. Morehead State now has 43 wins in two fall events.
Sophomore Briar Preston remained undefeated this fall in singles, claiming four wins, including three straight-set decisions. She is now 7-0 in the two fall tournaments and has only dropped one set. Preston teamed with freshman Andrea LeBlanc for a trio of doubles victories too, and LeBlanc picked up a singles win.
Freshman Haley Wild collected four more singles victories and ran her fall record to 7-0. She also added a doubles win. Sophomore Lissa Pacheco-Brousseau, who teamed with Wild in doubles, recorded three singles triumphs.
Freshman Kennedy Womack notched a quartet of victories, claiming two singles and two doubles wins. Sophomore Dominique-Chante Mclean, seeing her first action in 2013, tallied three singles wins. Sophomore Sandrine Beaule claimed a pair of wins as well, and the Eagles also recorded two wins by default.
