The loss for the Eagles moved them to 0-10 on the year. The Mocs improved their record to 7-4 and pick up their seventh straight victory.

"This team has so much potential, we are still learning the process of making the battle against the opponent," said Head Coach Fulton. "I'm so proud of the work ethic and day-to-day times these girls put into this team. We are growing and becoming a more cohesive unit day-by-day, and I'm really excited about the future of our women's tennis program."

Zina Mehikic challenged Kelsey Coots and Kayla Jones in doubles play but fell 6-4 in the opening match.

Hayley Wild and sophomore Maria Orellana went down 6-2 to Samantha Caswell and Katie Polk. Sophomore

Lindsey Wild suffered the same 6-2 defeat to the team of McKenzie Barco and Delaney Edwards.

Terashi and Jones provided a noteworthy singles match, with the first set going in favor to Jones, 6-4. Terashi couldn't ride the momentum of the first set, falling 6-1 in the second set.

Mehikic lost her first set to Coots 6-1 but provided a spark in the second set mounting a rally. Coots cut the comeback short with a 6-3 second-set victory.

Morehead State will open Ohio Valley Conference play in its next match on Friday against Murray State.
