MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State freshman forward
Kristin Perry has been named the Ohio Valley Conference women’s basketball co-Freshman of the Week.
Perry, a native of Olive Hill, Ky., made her collegiate debut at Eastern Illinois, coming off the bench late in the first half. She recorded 18 points and three rebounds versus the Panthers. Perry hit five of her six attempts in the final half and went 5-for-5 from the line in just 17 minutes of action.
It is the second league weekly honor for the Eagles this year. Junior forward
Ashar Harris earned Player of the Week accolades on Dec. 28. Perry shared this week's award with Jacksonville State's Briana Morrow.
Perry and the Eagles will travel to Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 11 for a 4 p.m. ET game at McBrayer Arena.
