Charles Porter played football for Morehead State from 1950-53. Porter played quarterback and punter for the Eagles.

At the time of his induction, Porter held six offensive records. They were: most total yards in a game (423), most total yards in a season (2,782), most passing yards in a single game (390), most touchdowns passes in a game (6), and for most touchdown passes in a season (20). All of these records were set during the 1950 season. During that year the Eagles defeated Marshall 51-6 and Evansville 58-8.
