Larry Workman

Larry Workman played football for Morehead State from 1941-42 and from 1946-47. He took three years off to serve in the United States Army Corps during World War II. Workman was a standout quarterback for the Eagles.

A native of Louisa, Ky., Workman attended high school in Fort Gay, W.Va. He earned all-conference honors and was named Honorable Mention All-American in 1946 when he led MSU to a 6-1-0 record.

After leaving MSU, Workman went on to be a top educator for 41 years, working as a teacher, coach, principal and administrator in both West Virginia and Florida. He spent 19 years as a program director for the Florida Department of Education.
