Dave Haverdick was an All-American football player for Morehead State. He played for the Eagles from 1965-69. He earned All-American honors for the 1969 campaign.

Haverdick played defensive tackle for the Eagles. He was named First-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference twice during his playing career. He played two years under Guy Penny and a pair under Jake Hallum. During his playing days, the Eagles went 20-15-2. He also lettered one year in track at MSU.
