A native of Edgewood, Ky., Leslie (Schellhaas) Litmer starred for MSU volleyball from 2010 until 2013, helping the Eagles win four Ohio Valley Conference regular-season championships and two OVC Tournament titles, advancing to the program's first two NCAA Tournament appearances.

During her career, Morehead State posted a 67-3 conference record, including an undefeated 16-0 mark in 2012.

Schellhaas is the only athlete in MSU volleyball history to earn OVC Defensive Player of the Year, winning the prestigious accolade in 2013 while also being named First-Team All-OVC. She also earned six OVC Defensive Player of the Week awards in her four seasons.

Schellhaas still owns the Morehead State career record for digs with 2,232 and has the top three single-season dig marks in program history with records of 685 in 2013, 669 in 2011 and 619 in 2012. She was named to the Honorable Mention AVCA All-Region Team in 2013.

Equally as impressive in the classroom, Schellhaas earned four consecutive OVC Academic Medals of Honor for the highest grade-point average among league volleyball student-athletes.

She earned her bachelor's degree in secondary mathematics education from MSU in 2014 and also earned her Master's degree in educational technology from MSU in 2019. She currently teaches at her alma mater, Notre Dame Academy, and is one of the co-head coaches for the varsity volleyball team. She currently resides in Edgewood, Ky., with her husband Jacob, daughter Elsie, and dog Roscoe.
